Barry Otto

Barry Otto has enjoyed an extensive career in theatre, film and television which began in Brisbane in 1970. In 1972 he starred in Queensland Theatre Company’s original production of Puss In Boots followed by Present Laughter and A Doll’s House. In 2005 he returned to the Company for The Goat, Or Who is Sylvia? Other theatre credits include Troupers, Boy Gets Girl, Proof, Volpone, King Lear, Barrymore, Hotel Sorrento (Sydney Theatre Company), The Last Cab to Darwin (Porkchop Productions), The Falls, Amadeus (Griffin Theatre Company), Wasp, Night on Bald Mountain, The Tempest, Cosi (Company B Belvoir), Cosi, Faust, The Marriage of Figaro (Melbourne Theatre Company), Secrets of the Night, White Heat (Theatre of the Image Ltd). Some of his many film credits include Rogue, Cosi, Soul Mates, Bliss, Love’s Brother, Dead Letter Office, The Beneficiary, Kiss or Kill, Oscar and Lucinda, A Nice Guy, Mr Reliable, Lillian’s Story, On Our Selection and Strictly Ballroom. Recent television appearances include Stupid Stupid Man, Headland, Through My Eyees, the Secret Life of Us, Loot, Farscape, Don’t Blame Me, Always Greener, and To Hell and Back.
