Vivienne Garrett
Vivienne is a NIDA graduate who has worked with most of the major theatre companies in Australia. Winner of Westen Australia’s Swan Gold Award best female actor in 1995 for Dead Funny (Perth Theatre Company) and nominated for Live Acts on Stage (Black Swan State Theatre Company)
Before coming to Perth she was a member of Rex Cramphorn’s Performance Syndicate as well as appearing in many major Sydney shows including Loves Labours Lost, The Tempest, A Servant of Two Masters, Top Girls, On Our Selection, Extremities, The Vagina Monologues and Necessary Targets.
Vivienne's career in television spans decades from Number 96, Matlock Police, Homicide, Norman Gunston Show, Mother & Son, Bodyline and in Western Australian television series, Haydaze, Ship to Shore, Minty, Shark Net and Streetsmartz . Film roles in Caddy, Dancing, Let’s Get Skase, Cross Purposes, P’arlami D’Amour, Seclusion and Edgar and Elizabeth. Vivienne is also a Theatre Director and acting coach at WAAPA.
She has starred in two one woman shows Death of Minnie and Witchplay and was in Perth Theatre Company's premiere cast of The Vagina Monologues in Western Australia.
This year she performed in Checklist for a Armed Robber and Lonely Hearts for Deckchair Theatre, The Maj Monologues and directed The Spook at PICA.
