Paea Leach
Paea is an independent dancer and choreographer who trained at WAAPA and is now working between Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide. In 2006 she performed with Chunky Move and Australian Dance Theatre (ADT), produced and performed in her own project - the SOLOS project in Melbourne and Perth and has undertaken a residency at PICA. Paea has continually worked and performed on a project basis, creating her own works for STRUT seasons, PICA and WAAPA; among Voyeur, Love/Lust, Vibratile et Nuance, the RUMI project, Kohl and Machaam. Until 2005 Paea was based in Perth where she worked with Sue Peacock, Olivia Millard and choreographed Wan for Company Loaded in Aqueous season for the Perth International Arts Festival. Paea then spent time in Europe, touring with ADT and for a professional development period with Emio Greco P.C in Amsterdam, as well as attending many other workshops in Berlin and London.
