George Shevtsov

George is probably best known for his role as Ken Sherry in the film Love Serenade which won the Camera D'or award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1996. His depth of experience and versatility is reflected in the range of  work he has undertaken all over Australia in film, theatre, radio and television. He has worked with Steven Berkoff in his production of Metamorphosis, played opposite Tom Selleck in Ike: Countdown to D-Day filmed  in New Zealand. George performed the title in the ballet Don Quixote, a book reading of Stormy Weather for the ABC, Sitting Bull in Annie Get You Gun, and numerous theatre productions with Perth Theatre Company, Black Swan State Theatre Company, Deckchair Theatre Company and independent producers.
George has appeared in Don't Look Back by dreamthinkspeak (PIAF 2008), Red Shoes (ThinIce), television series Stormworld and the feature films No Through Road and Esoterica.
George has directed three one act operas La Voix Humaine, Mavra, Mozart and Salieri for the Australian Opera Studio, directed student productions and teaches at WAAPA, Contemporary Performance at ECU and Annie Stainer's Total Theatre. George has just completed a period as performer in residence with LINK Dance company culminating in a of performance Things That Remain choreographed by Michael Whaites.
